Machine Translation in Website Localization: Assessing its Translation Quality for Language Learning

This study seeks to investigate the quality of translation generated by a popular Machine Translation (MT) platform, viz. Google Translate (GT) in translating content Russian flight charterer’s website from English into Indonesian. To analyze produced MT, we compared original texts translated human translator and machine-translated version. The is limited readability level. serving as data were collected menus chartering service which was originally an Indonesian translator. An analysis further discovered that MT divided two categories: less readable readable. caused MT’s inability adjust stylistic forms Indonesian, failure do adaptation strategy some cases, tends follow same sentence structure text (source text).
